Thunderstruck!
El relámpago! There was an intense lightning storm over Ottawa last night. Not surprising with how hot and humid it's been here over the past few days. The flashing started around midnight and reached its peak about a half-hour later; I fired up my camera in video-mode, hopped out on the balcony and captured the footage below. Of course these dark video clips hardly do the storm justice; there were a couple of spectacularly huge bolts that I didn't get (what can you do? It's all about timing), but I thought I'd share anyway. Enjoy!

Where the heck did you get that picture? It's really cool! The video clips turned out good, it was funny to watch the camera panning the skyline to capture a lightening bolt. You managed to do a good job of it! The only thing missing was your usual video commentary."Sing..sing a song!"..LOL

Hey Brian,
I left a comment on here yesterday early in the morning, but then you took the post offline. I guess you weren't too impressed with how your video pushed all your links down to the bottom of the page. I've posted all my video the same way you just did, makes it easier. Great pics and video. I almost did the same thing, but I was too lazy.
It was an awesome storm...
Yep, it's certainly annoying how a posted video forces the link list to the bottom. I want my profile up top, dammit!
I may try and figure it out eventually, but I'll likely just stick with the links to YouTube. It's just easier that way...

Well, I believe there is a way around it. After you put the text into your blog that puts the video up directly, save it as a draft. When you re-open it to edit, you can click on the video image that appears and actually scale the video to whatever size you want. You'll have to play with it abit to fit. I just found it to be way too much work.
Hey Brian,
Now that I helped you, help me. What did you do to get those little pictures at the bottom of each blog. Like the Z in your last post, or the cactus in the one before that? I never saw that before.
Ps. I'd suggest you go to the settings page and change the comments section so that people need to enter in a word before the comment is approved. You could end up getting spammed by blog bots!!
Ok, I figured it out. You were just using webdings. DUHHH!!! Can't believe I didn't think of that before.
Those are some impressive lightning bolts.
I hope you do not mind but I checked out your site (link from our girl Sharon). You got some pretty nice pictures in here.
I am off to see Dean's next.

Hey Brian,
Did you happen to get any photo's from the big storm last night? Man, it was about an hour long with tons of lightning. Great show!! Sorry about not attending the party, we just vegged out.
Hey folks!
Yo Matt,
I missed the storm on the 25th. Heard it was something, though!
By the way, I'm working on new blog entries for the big party, I should be done by the end of the weekend. Funny stuff! Stay tuned.
Later,
Brian
