Weekend at Dan's / August 25-27 2006

What's up everybody? So what can I tell ya. Friday after work I took a drive down to Dan's place in Newcastle ON for a weekend visit. I took practically zero pictures, but it's been a while since my last post so I thought I'd do up a short one to say hello.









I got to Dan's around 9pm on Friday night; Dan's brother Bill and their buddies Joe and Steve were already enjoying a few cold beers while Dan had the grill smokin.' I busted out the Banana Popsicle fixin's and hurried to catch up. (It was just us guys all weekend; Dan's wife Krista had taken Ashleigh and Spencer over to see the folks). We had a few drinks and blasted some tunes & comedy on Friday night (and well into Saturday morning...). The next afternoon we went out to J.P.'s Bar for a few games of pool, then came back to Dan's and made a wack of ribs for supper. Saturday night was on the mellow side; we stayed in, drank lots of doubles and watched Full Metal Jacket and Kill Bill Vol. 1 on Dan's giant TV.

Here's the only shot I actually took at Dan's over the whole weekend: Big Dan and his other brother -- "Tom Headroom." :)

But anyways. A fun weekend out of town! It was nice meeting Steve and Joe, and it was great seeing the McCardle boys again.

(Note: More funky road trips are right around the corner, so I'll be sure to get it in gear and take more photos for next time. :)
