Pete's wacky send-off / Sept. 15 2006
Hello again folks!
So, my nephew Peter joined the Forces this past weekend; he started his basic training in St Jean-de-Richelieu Quebec on Sunday. Here's a few photos of a nice farewell dinner and bonfire bash put on by Bud & Laurie on Friday night.
The evening started off with a big ol' Newfoundland-style 'Jig's Dinner' boiled to perfection by Bud.
After supper everybody moved it outside for a few cocktails around the fire. Here's Pete chillin' with some rum in the cab of his funked-up pick-up truck. It should be waitin' for ya when you get back, Pete. :)
But anyhoo. It was a great dinner and a hell of a party! Here's wishing Pete good luck with basic training and in his new career.
